So it seems that the USA will have a Brown President and the UK now has a Brown PM who is hoping that a mixture of luck and some good decisions will keep him around at least till the next election and maybe beyond.
Reduce interest rates dramatically,cut VAT taxes, cure inflation,lower petrol prices and hey presto this is the guy everyone will vote for next time…or will they? Other side of the coin savers and pensioneers will struggle, unemployment will almost certainly surge upwards next year, many small businesses willl go under and out in the rest of the world people will continue to blow themselves and others up for whatever twisted reason and no doubt something will happen yet again closer to home. Afghanistan will just get worse and more soldiers will die for what seems a hopeless cause.

Meanwhile Obama will hit the road running and full of promises. As always events will probably take him in a different direction but thats how politics works. He has some ambitious plans . Lets hope the crazies don’t get to him first.
